In social training at school, eight to twelve-year-old children learn to work together in structured role-playing games, behavioural exercises, training rituals and on social rules, mindful handling of feelings, flexible problem solving and empathy. Children acquire more emotional, social and life skills in this modern social education. Social training at school has demonstrated its effectiveness in several evaluations in Germany and Austria. Since December 2010, social training at school has been an integral part of the 10-pillar concept “Action against Youth Violence” of the Hamburg Senate.
